Landslide in Colombia: 4 people lost their lives

Intense rainfall in Colombia’s Narino region triggered a landslide. As a result of the landslide, 4 people lost their lives. Authorities announced that the disaster has affected hundreds of families and caused significant damage to infrastructure.

Intense rainfall in the southern Narino region of Colombia in South America led to floods and landslides.

Governor Luis Alfonso Escobar of Narino took to social media platform X to state, “The rainfall has caused emergencies in many areas, but the most devastating one occurred in El Encano in the municipality of Pasto.

Here, 4 people lost their lives due to the landslide and significant damage occurred,” he said.

Governor Escobar mentioned that the landslide dragged houses, blocked roads, and caused water shortages, affecting over 400 families.

He also stated that in La Cruz, 100 families were left homeless due to the flooding.
