Emphasizing that the 30-day ceasefire has no benefit to Russia, Ushakov’s remarks contrast with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement that unfortunately, no meaningful response was received to the ceasefire offer.
According to Russian media, a senior official from the Kremlin commented on the temporary ceasefire proposed by the administration of US President Donald Trump.
Yuri Ushakov, one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s advisors, gave an interview to the Russia-1 television channel.
“NO BENEFIT TO RUSSIA” According to the channel’s report, Kremlin advisor Ushakov told Trump’s National Security Advisor Mike Waltz that the temporary ceasefire is nothing more than a “pause” for the Ukrainian army.
Ushakov emphasized that the 30-day ceasefire has no benefit to Russia.
Ushakov highlighted that the ceasefire proposal was “hastily presented” and needs to be updated taking into account Russia’s interests.
“NO MEANINGFUL RESPONSE FROM RUSSIA” During talks in Saudi Arabia, the US and Ukraine agreed on a 30-day ceasefire plan. However, it was uncertain how Russia would respond to this proposal. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also stated that unfortunately, no meaningful response was received from Russia regarding the ceasefire offer.
