The Qassam Brigades referred to the attack as a “cowardly assassination” and stated that the resistance will continue. According to a statement from the Qassam Brigades, “Hasan Ahmed Ferhat Abu Yasir, his daughter Canan Ferhat, and his son Hamza Ferhat were martyred as a result of a cowardly assassination carried out by Israel at their home in Tyre, Lebanon.” The statement emphasized, “We once again highlight that these cowardly assassination policies against our mujahideen in Palestine and abroad will never break our determination in the path of jihad and resistance.” In the morning hours, three members of the same family had lost their lives in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the southern city of Tyre in Lebanon. The Israeli army had previously announced that Hamas commander Hasan Ahmed Ferhat was killed in the attack.
