During a speech, US President Joe Biden targeted former US President and Republican candidate Donald Trump. Biden expressed that the former president poses a “threat” to democracy, stating, “We should jail him.”
US President Joe Biden met with Democrats at a campaign office in New Hampshire with only a few days left until the election.
Addressing his supporters, Biden continued his criticism of former President and Republican candidate Donald Trump.
Biden expressed that Trump poses a “threat” to democracy, stating, “We should jail him.” After applause following his remarks, Biden tried to soften his harsh language, saying, “Politically, we should exclude him. That’s what we need to do.”
“OUR DEMOCRACY IS IN DANGER”
Biden noted that Trump wants to disregard the guarantees of the US Constitution, saying, “Our democracy is in danger if Trump defeats Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.”
During the 2016 Presidential campaign, Trump used the phrase “lock her up” in reference to his opponent Hillary Clinton during rallies.
CALL FOR CONDEMNATION OF HARRIS
Trump’s campaign spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, stated, “Biden spoke the truth. Biden and Kamala Harris’s plan from the beginning was to politically persecute Trump because they couldn’t defeat him fairly. Biden and Kamala are a real threat to our democracy. We call on Kamala Harris to condemn Biden’s shameful statements.”
