The speech made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the October 7 ceremony in Jerusalem was disrupted by hostage families. Protestors interrupted Netanyahu’s speech by shouting “Shame!”.
Israeli hostage families once again expressed their disapproval towards Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Protestors disrupted Netanyahu’s speech at today’s ceremony commemorating those who lost their lives in the attack on Israel’s south by Hamas last year on October 7. In Jerusalem, protestors shouted “Shame!” cutting off Netanyahu’s words. The Israeli Prime Minister paused briefly during the slogans before continuing his speech. Many Israelis hold Netanyahu responsible for the failures that led to the attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023, and for the fact that the hostages remaining in Hamas’ hands in Gaza have not been brought back home yet. During Hamas’ Aksa Storm Operation on October 7, 2023, 1,200 Israelis died, with 250 being taken hostage.
Since that day, in the ongoing Gaza attacks by Israel, nearly 43,000 Palestinians have lost their lives.
