The families of Israeli prisoners held in the Gaza Strip have complained to US President Donald Trump about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government. The families have long accused Netanyahu and his government of abandoning the fate of the prisoners.
According to Israeli state television channel KAN, the families of Israeli prisoners who frequently call for a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange agreement to be upheld in Gaza, appealed to Trump for help in a statement they released. Accusing Prime Minister Netanyahu of “repeatedly deceiving his people, making empty promises, and abandoning hostages,” the families complained to Trump, stating that “the Israeli government has been playing with the lives of our loved ones for over a year and a half.” They emphasized that Trump is the “only one who can intervene now and put an end to this nightmare” and requested assistance from the US President.
FAMILIES TO EXPOSE NETANYAHU’S DECEPTION
The families of the Israeli prisoners announced that they will disclose how Netanyahu’s government deceived the public if immediate action is not taken to ensure the release of all right-wing Israeli prisoners. The statement read: “We have listened to the Prime Minister, the army, and security agencies behind closed doors and witnessed how they tell a completely different story to the public. We will expose all the unkept promises, the decisions taken based on political interests rather than human life, and all the grave mistakes made. We will not allow irresponsible leaders to continue lying and covering up their failures.” Relatives of the Israeli prisoners accuse Netanyahu of sabotaging a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza and intentionally delaying the start of second-stage negotiations.
