Israeli soldiers conducted raids in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the arrest of 8 Palestinians. According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli troops carried out multiple raids in the town of Hebron in the southern West Bank. The soldiers entered homes belonging to Palestinians, damaging property, and arrested 7 individuals. Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers set up numerous military checkpoints at the entrances of Hebron and its affiliated towns, villages, and refugee camps, restricting the movement of the residents. Additionally, in the Ed-Duheisha Refugee Camp located in the city of Bethlehem in the West Bank, Israeli forces carried out a raid, arresting one person and interrogating 20 individuals in an open area. Since the ceasefire in Gaza took effect on Sunday, January 19, following attacks initiated by the Israeli army named “Iron Wall” on Tuesday, January 21 in the northern refugee camps of the occupied West Bank, several Palestinians have been killed, and hundreds have been detained. Since Israel’s attack on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, there has been an increase in arrests, raids, and attacks targeting Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces and settlers have been responsible for attacks in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of 168 children and 941 Palestinian lives lost, approximately 7,000 injuries, and the arrest of 15,700 individuals.
