Israeli deception lasted 4 days: Footage of brutal massacre emerged

4 Mins Read

The video capturing the moment when Israel killed 15 healthcare and civil defense workers going to help the wounded in Gaza has surfaced. The footage refuted the Israeli minister’s claims from four days ago.

Once again, Israel’s massacres have been documented.

The video shows Israeli forces directly targeting the ambulances and a firetruck carrying 15 healthcare and civil defense workers who were heading to help the wounded in Tel es-Sultan in the southern Gaza Strip on March 23 during an attack.

The New York Times reported that the footage was taken from the cell phone of a healthcare worker who was found dead in a mass grave where Israeli soldiers buried 15 healthcare and civil defense workers.

Contrary to Israel’s claims, the video clearly shows that the vehicles used by healthcare workers were ambulances. The footage shows Israeli soldiers firing upon the healthcare and civil defense teams as soon as they reached the area to help the wounded.

In the video, filmed through the windshield of one of the vehicles carrying the healthcare and civil defense teams towards the scene, clear signs indicating that the convoy consisted of ambulances and a firetruck can be seen.

The footage shows the convoy, consisting of ambulances and a firetruck with emergency lights flashing, pulling over to the side of the road. One vehicle in front, believed to have been an ambulance previously dispatched to help the wounded, is seen ahead of the stopped convoy.

The footage captures the direct firing upon the first aid team seen in the video, who clearly display their identity as healthcare workers, lasting about 5 minutes.

In an unreleased part of the footage, it was reported that the healthcare worker who filmed the video recited the Shahada and, realizing they would die, apologized to their mother, saying, “Forgive me, mom. This is the path I chose; to help people.”

For a while, the groans of healthcare workers and the harsh Hebrew tones of the soldiers, although indecipherable, were heard in the background.

Nebal Farsakh, the Spokesperson of the Palestine Red Crescent Society, said in an interview given to the press that the lifeless body of the healthcare worker who filmed the video was pulled out of the mass grave with a bullet in their head.

Furthermore, a UN official noted that, for the time being, the name of the mentioned healthcare worker is being kept confidential due to the possibility that it could target the worker’s relatives in Gaza.

The bodies of 8 Palestine Red Crescent personnel, 6 Palestine Civil Defense Organization members, and 1 UN staff were removed from where they were buried by Israeli soldiers on the first day of Ramadan, March 30.

The systematic targeting of healthcare and civil defense personnel by Israeli forces in attacks since October 7 in Gaza continues to draw significant international outrage, while the Tel Aviv administration persistently denies these attacks.

Defense Minister Gideon Saar previously defended that Israeli soldiers did not randomly target an ambulance, but claimed that the vehicle approached the soldiers suspiciously. However, the footage revealed otherwise.

In a statement made by the Israeli Army Spokesperson earlier this week, it was claimed that after determining that the vehicles were advancing suspiciously without headlights or emergency signals, the soldiers fired upon them.

WHAT HAPPENED?
In the statement issued by the Palestine Red Crescent on March 23, it was reported that 4 ambulances sent to rescue the wounded in the attack in Rafah were surrounded by the Israeli army, and some healthcare workers were injured in the attack.

The Gaza Civil Defense Unit also lost contact with the teams who set out to rescue healthcare workers affiliated with the Palestine Red Crescent on the same day.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that some of the individuals targeted and found lifeless in Rafah had their hands tied, were shot in the head and chest, and were buried in a deep pit.
