A Lebanese security source reported that Seyfettin has been unreachable since the attack carried out by Israel on Friday. Seyfettin was targeted in the Dahieh area, known as Hezbollah’s stronghold.
According to Israeli media, the Israeli army launched an attack on an underground bunker in Dahieh where Hezbollah leaders were located yesterday.
It was stated that the region witnessed one of the heaviest bombardments since the killing of Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah. The bombardment was felt intensely not only in densely populated neighborhoods in southern Beirut but also in the city center, with the attack allegedly targeting Nasrallah’s successor, Hashim Seyfettin.
A Lebanese security source reported to Reuters today that Seyfettin has been unreachable since the Israeli attack.
Meanwhile, three security officials stated that the attacks Israel carried out on the suburbs of Beirut have hindered search efforts by rescue teams in the area targeted in the attack on Seyfettin.
There has been no announcement from the Israeli army or Hezbollah regarding whether Seyfettin was killed in the attack.
