The toll rises from the attack carried out by the Israeli army on Nasir Hospital in southern Gaza Strip yesterday.

The number of civilians killed in the attack on the hospital located in Khan Yunis city has now reached 5.

SURGICAL SECTION TARGETED

The Gaza Health Ministry reported that Israeli warplanes targeted the surgical section of the hospital.

While Palestinian health officials indicated that the target of the attack was a Hamas official, Hamas announced the death of Ismail Barhoum, a member of its political bureau. ISRAELI ARMY TARGETS RAFAH AND KHAN YUNIS

Israel, on the other hand, defended that the attack was carried out after comprehensive intelligence, and they used precision ammunition to minimize damage on the ground. According to health officials, as of Sunday, at least 45 Palestinians have lost their lives in Israeli attacks in Rafah and Khan Yunis.
