The Gaza Health Ministry reported that the Israeli army violated the ceasefire and, since March 18, has killed 505 children and injured 1,249 in its attacks on Gaza. The statement also mentioned that 271 women and 86 elderly individuals lost their lives in Israeli attacks. Overall, 1,391 people have died since March 18, and a total of 50,752 individuals have been killed since October 7, 2023, in the ongoing attacks on Gaza.
After the ceasefire that took effect on January 19 in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army resumed its violent attacks on the morning of March 18. Since the resumption of the attacks, mostly elderly, women, and children, 1,391 Palestinians have lost their lives, and 3,434 people have been injured. In the attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023, 50,752 Palestinians have died, and 115,475 have been injured.
Israel, breaking the ceasefire, announced that it would act with “increasing military force” against Hamas, as it rejected new ceasefire proposals, accusing Hamas of not adhering to Israeli agreements and starting genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. The Israeli airstrikes on Gaza have raised concerns especially when considering Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s controversial political moves, including the dismissal of the Shin Bet Director of Internal Intelligence.
