The Israeli army announced preparations to expand its ground occupation in Gaza by breaking the ceasefire agreement and launching new attacks.

The death toll in Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza for the past year and a half has surpassed 50 thousand, with 11 thousand reported missing. Israel launched fresh attacks on Tuesday, targeting the entire Gaza Strip.

According to a statement from the Israeli army, the 36th Division, considered the largest division in the army consisting of armored vehicles and tanks, has been deployed to the Southern Command as part of preparations to expand the occupation.

The statement reported that units comprising thousands of soldiers are preparing to join the attacks. It was noted that the 36th Division of the Israeli army had previously participated in attacks in the north of Gaza and southern Lebanon.
