Israeli army declares it will target strategic buildings belonging to Hezbollah in Beirut

The Israeli army announced that they would target three buildings in the south of Beirut that they claimed to be storing ammunition for Hezbollah, saying they were monitoring Beirut Airport and would not allow “enemy elements to land there.” Israeli Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari stated they would not allow weapons to be transported through Beirut’s civilian airport. Hagari said they were monitoring the results of the attack in the south of Beirut and emphasized that the operation was a delicate one. He mentioned that they were in constant contact with the U.S. and had warned the people in the south because they would be bombarding those areas. The Israeli Army Spokesperson mentioned, “We will target strategic buildings belonging to Hezbollah. We are still reviewing the results of the attack on Hezbollah’s central headquarters; our attack was a delicate operation.” Daniel Hagari also noted that surveillance planes were flying over Beirut Airport, stating they would not allow “enemy elements to land.” He declared that they would target three buildings in Beirut where they claimed Hezbollah ammunition was stored. The Israeli army avoided using the name of Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah in the attack, but stated that they were targeting the leadership cadre.
