Israel has announced that it will soon receive an $8.7 billion military aid package from the United States. In a written statement from the Israeli Ministry of Defense, it was reported that Defense Ministry Director General Eyal Zamir signed an agreement today in Washington for Tel Aviv to receive the $8.7 billion American military aid package. The statement mentioned that $3.5 billion of the aid would be used to purchase vital war materials, while $5.2 billion would finance air defense systems. According to the ministry’s announcement, the agreement stipulates that the mentioned amount and equipment will be delivered soon.
