Israeli warplanes targeted Dera in the south of Syria. Reports indicate that 2 civilians were killed and 19 others were injured in the attacks.

Local sources announced that Israeli aircraft targeted the 12th and 132nd Brigades around Dera. According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), 2 civilians lost their lives and 19 others were injured in the strikes. The Israeli army entered Syria after the collapse of the Baath regime when its leader, Bashar al-Assad, fled to Moscow.

The Israeli army, targeting the military infrastructure and capabilities left by the regime forces, expanded its occupation in the Golan Heights. Entering the buffer zone, the Israeli army reached close to 25 kilometers from Damascus. Israel has been occupying the Golan Heights, which belongs to Syria, since 1967. The Withdrawal of Forces Agreement signed between Israel and Syria in 1974 established the boundaries of the buffer zone and the demilitarized area.
