1 Mins Read

The Israeli army bombarded a school where displaced people took refuge in Gaza for the third time, resulting in 11 deaths and approximately 20 injuries. According to the Palestinian official news agency WAFA, Israeli warplanes targeted the “Asma” school in the Al-Shati Refugee Camp in the west of Gaza city, which is run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA). Health sources reported that 11 people were killed in the attack, with around 20 others injured and transported to Shifa and Al-Ahli Baptist hospitals. Israel had previously bombed the “Asma” school on June 7th and October 19th, leading to the deaths of over 10 individuals and the injury of many more. Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of 42,924 Palestinians, including approximately 17,210 children and 11,742 women, with 100,833 individuals injured. Reports indicate that thousands of dead are still under the rubble, as hospitals and educational institutions where civilians sought refuge are also being targeted, causing destruction to the civilian infrastructure.
