His body, carried on the shoulders of the crowds in Kerbala, was finally sent to Tehran. Israel has killed prominent figures in the resistance axis led by Iran, most of whom were from Hezbollah’s leadership, in the past two months. In the Israeli attack in Beirut where Nasrallah and Nilfuruşan lost their lives, it was claimed that Kaani was also targeted. However, Ismail Kaani later visited the Hezbollah office in Tehran. Following that, the allegations about him never ceased. In an attack targeting Hashim Safiiddin, who was expected to take over Hezbollah’s leadership on October 4, he was claimed to have been either killed or injured. Some sources also claimed that Kaani was interrogated by the Revolutionary Guards Corps on suspicion of providing intelligence to Israel and suffered a heart attack during questioning.
