After his visit to Beirut, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi traveled to the Syrian capital, Damascus, to discuss regional developments and bilateral relations.

Yesterday, Aragchi also visited Beirut, where he stated that the Iranian government supported efforts for a ceasefire that Hezbollah would accept and that would be “simultaneous with a ceasefire in Gaza.”
Meanwhile, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei challenged Israel by leading Friday prayers in the heart of Tehran yesterday. Standing at the pulpit with a sniper rifle, Khamenei called for unity among Muslim communities and expressed Iran’s readiness to strike Israel again if necessary.
Khamenei stated, “The action by our armed forces was the lightest punishment we could give to the occupying Zionist regime. Faced with their unimaginable crimes, we gave the lightest response we could to that bloodthirsty rabid dog.”
