The Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov inspected the fleet of the Russian Navy in the Caspian Sea. According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, Belusov visited the Republic of Dagestan, which is part of his country and located on the shores of the Caspian Sea. During the visit, Belousov oversaw the efforts to develop the infrastructure of the Caspian Fleet and held meetings with military officials. Russian Navy Commander Alexander Moiseyev and Caspian Fleet Commander Oleg Zverev provided Belousov with information on the training of soldiers and the development of infrastructure at naval bases in the fleet. Belousov emphasized that the constructed facilities need to be operational as soon as possible and presented state awards to “successful” soldiers who participated in the conflict in Ukraine.
