An international legal coalition called “Global 195” has been launched to globally prosecute Israeli individuals with dual nationality who are accused of committing war crimes in Gaza.
The International Center for Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) has taken action to ensure accountability for Israel’s war crimes in Gaza.
ICJP Director Tayab Ali announced the launch of the international initiative “Global 195,” stating that legal actions can be taken worldwide against war crimes suspects through independent legal groups. This coalition aims to establish a global accountability network operating on four continents to pursue individuals accused of war crimes using national and international legal mechanisms, enabling the issuance of arrest warrants and initiation of legal proceedings against those associated with war crimes.
COVERS HIGH-RANKING OFFICIALS The “Global 195” initiative encompasses high-ranking Israeli military and political figures, along with all individuals who violate international law, such as members of the Israeli military. The coalition also plans to initiate special prosecutions against individuals associated with war crimes in certain countries. ICJP aims to collaborate with legal professionals and institutions in various countries to launch a global movement for ensuring that war crimes suspects face justice. Lawyers and civil society organizations from countries like the UK, Canada, Turkey, Norway, Malaysia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina are supporting the coalition.
