The annual inflation rate, on the other hand, decreased to 38.10%. Economists had predicted that inflation would rise by 2.87% in March. The 12-month inflation indicator that determines the rent increase ceiling stood at 51.26%. The HIGHEST CONTRIBUTION CAME FROM FOOD AND NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. In March, the spending category that experienced the highest increase was food and non-alcoholic beverages at 4.94%. Transportation saw a 0.25% increase, while housing experienced a 2.10% increase. Food and non-alcoholic beverages contributed the most to inflation in March, with 1.23 points. Transportation had a 0.04% impact and housing had a 0.33% monthly change effect. The highest annual increase in March was 80.42% in the education category, followed by 68.63% for housing, and 46.74% for alcoholic beverages and tobacco. CORE INDICATORS INCREASED. The special comprehensive CPI indicator, which excludes unprocessed food products, energy, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and gold, rose by 1.30% on a monthly basis. Core inflation stood at 36.99% annually in March. Producer prices (PPI) increased by 1.88% in March. Compared to the same month of the previous year, PPI increased by 23.50%.
