The economic confidence index increased by 2 percent on a monthly basis in September, reaching 95. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the economic confidence index data for September. Accordingly, the index, which was 93.1 in August, rose by 2 percent to 95 in September. During the same period, the consumer confidence index increased by 2.4 percent to 78.2. The real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence index rose by 1.2 percent to 99.2. The service sector confidence index increased by 0.6 percent to 112.6, while the retail trade sector confidence index rose by 2.5 percent to 110.6, and the construction sector confidence index decreased by 0.2 percent to 87.8.
