Increase of 4.5 billion dollars in Central Bank reserves

Central Bank’s total reserves increased by 4.5 billion dollars last week, reaching 169.915 billion dollars. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) published its weekly money and banking statistics. As of March 7, the Central Bank’s gross foreign exchange reserves rose by 3.045 billion dollars to 97.802 billion dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at 94.757 billion dollars on February 28. During this period, gold reserves also increased by 1.454 billion dollars, rising from 70.659 billion dollars to 72.113 billion dollars. Thus, the Central Bank’s total reserves increased by 4.498 billion dollars in the week of March 7, reaching 169.915 billion dollars from 165.417 billion dollars the previous week.
