Europe is battling severe rainfall and storm. The Meteorological Department has issued a vital danger warning.
Some regions of Europe have been affected by strong winds and heavy rainfall with the arrival of the first named storm of the season, the Ashley Storm.
The Meteorological Department reported that the storm is expected to bring winds reaching speeds of 80 miles per hour and heavy rainfall in some areas, which could lead to injuries and risks to safety.
The storm, bringing downpours and strong winds, also resulted in large waves. The massive waves hit the northwestern coast of France as well.
The wave soaked the crowd gathered on the sidewalk to observe the storm. Soon, the streets were underwater.
The French meteorological service issued a warning that weather conditions would worsen in the coming hours.
In the western part of France, a “yellow alert” was declared in six settlements. The region is expected to continue experiencing massive waves.
