Israeli media reported that a missile launched from Yemen caused injuries to 13 people.

According to Haaretz newspaper, Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency services reported that 13 people were injured as a result of a missile launched from Yemen after sirens sounded and they sought shelter.

An announcement from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that sirens blared in central parts of the country and calls were made for people to seek shelter due to a missile launched from Yemen.

It was reported that the missile was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force before entering the country’s airspace.

Israeli media also mentioned that there were no serious injuries reported due to the fallen missile wreckage, but some injuries occurred during the chaotic moments. The attack, which has not been officially claimed by any group yet, is speculated to have been carried out by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen.

US STRIKES YEMEN

Al Jazeera previously reported that the US had struck Yemen’s port city of Hodeidah under Houthi control as well as the capital Sanaa.

The Houthis announced that 18 of their members were killed in the attacks.

On Tuesday, a Houthi missile caused sirens to go off in southern Israel, as the Yemeni rebel group resumed missile attacks on Israel since the ceasefire in Gaza that started in January.
