The Turkish Confederation of Labor Unions (TÜRK-İŞ) announced the results of the hunger and poverty line research for October. Accordingly, the hunger line, which was 19,830 liras in September, increased to 20,431 liras. The poverty line, on the other hand, rose from 64,595 liras to 66,553 liras. WHAT IS THE HUNGER LINE? The hunger line shows the expenses that a family of four needs to make in order to eat a balanced diet. Other expenses are also included in the poverty line. According to the research, the monthly cost of living for a single employee is 26,536 liras.
