Here are the latest developments on the payments… Individuals with a severe disability, certified with a disability health report, can benefit from home care allowance payments. These payments are made 12 times a year and are regularly deposited into accounts every month. With the first week of March behind us, the Ministry of Family and Social Services is expected to announce the exact dates for home care allowance payments. The issue of whether the payments will be made earlier before the holidays has been making rounds on social media and certain platforms. The Ministry of Family and Social Services supports the needs of disabled individuals and their caregivers. As of January, the home care allowance exceeded 10,000 liras. Payments made by the Ministry will be deposited into accounts between the 15th and 31st of March, depending on the provinces. There is no official statement regarding whether the payments will be advanced. Individuals who want to verify that the home care allowance has been deposited in their accounts can do so through e-Government using their TC identity number and password. Social support payments calculated based on the civil servant salary index are raised twice a year. The home care allowance that increased in January will be reassessed in July based on the raise in civil servant salaries. For an individual to benefit from home care assistance, there are two basic requirements: the average monthly income per person should be less than 2/3 of the monthly net wage, and for individuals over 18, they must have a health council report stating they are “severely disabled” or “completely dependent.” Home care allowance payments are regularly deposited into accounts every month. In case of a change in residential address by the beneficiary of the home care allowance, it must be reported. Additionally, if the income status of the recipient family increases and exceeds 2/3 of the minimum wage, or if false information is detected, the allowance payment will be stopped and legal action will be taken.
