Hizbullah’s New Leader Kasim: We Will Continue our War Plan

2 Mins Read

Naim Kasim, the new leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, made his first statement following his appointment as secretary-general.

Starting his remarks by recalling the former leader of Hezbollah, Hasan Nasrallah, who was killed by Israel, Kasim stated, “Our agenda is to follow Nasrallah’s agenda in every aspect. We will continue our war plan.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated his desire to establish new settlements in Lebanon.

Expressing their support for Gaza with heartfelt emotions, the Hezbollah leader said, “Our resistance has thwarted Israel’s projects, and we still have the power to do that. If we had waited, we could have lost everything. The idea of not giving excuses to Israel is not correct because they always have an excuse.”

Stating that “the best defense is offense,” Kasim said the following in his speech: “This is a war opened by the forces of Israel, America, and Europe to control the world. They want us to surrender to them and control our future generations. They talk about children, women’s rights, but everything they say is lies, a show.”

Naim Kasim stated, “Iran supports our project without asking for anything in return,” and emphasized that Hezbollah does not fight on behalf of anyone, saying, “We are fighting for Lebanon.”

He added that the organization has recovered after “painful blows.”

Kasim further added, “We can continue to fight for days, weeks, and months. Leave our lands to reduce your losses, or if you stay, you will pay the price. If Israelis decide to stop the war, we will accept on terms we see fit. So far, Israel has not accepted any proposal for our talks.”
