2 Mins Read

Hizbullah has declared that they hit a military base in northern Israel using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Israeli army announced that in the UAV attack, 4 soldiers lost their lives, and 58 soldiers were injured, 7 of them severely. It was noted that the attack was carried out in response to previous strikes in the center of Beirut that resulted in the deaths of 22 people.

Hizbullah stated that they attacked the Golani brigade training camp in Binyamina near Haifa with a “drone swarm.” The attack left 67 people injured.

In a written statement from the Israeli army, it was mentioned that all injured soldiers in the UAV attack on the military base were taken to hospitals and their families were informed. The statement reported 4 soldiers deceased and 58 injured in the attack, with 7 of the wounded in critical condition.

While Hizbullah warned Israeli settlers to stay away from military bases in northern Israel, it was highlighted that the attack was a response to the Thursday bombings in the center of Beirut that resulted in the deaths of 22 people. The statement mentioned that the identities of the deceased soldiers would be disclosed later, and the investigation regarding the incident was ongoing. Additionally, a report in the Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahranot, attributed to the Israeli army, stated that the UAV sent by Hizbullah was tracked until it disappeared from radar. The report indicated that Hizbullah sent 2 UAVs over the sea. Hizbullah’s statement mentioned that the attack on the Golani Brigade’s training base in Binyamina, in southern Haifa, with a UAV fleet was carried out in solidarity with the resistance of the Palestinian people in Gaza, to defend Lebanon and its people, and in response to the attacks on the Basta and Nuveyri neighborhoods in Beirut.
