Hizbullah has announced that 17 Israeli soldiers were killed in clashes in southern Lebanon. In a written statement from Hizbullah, it was stated that the operations room reported that 17 Israeli soldiers were killed in the clashes, based on reliable field sources. The Israeli army had previously announced that 9 soldiers had been killed in clashes in Lebanon since the start of the ground attacks on September 30. The Israeli army had reported beginning limited and intense ground attacks against Hizbullah infrastructure in southern Lebanon on September 30. Since the controlled clashes with Hizbullah have been ongoing since October 8, the Israeli army detonated communication devices and radios used by Hizbullah on September 17, and launched hundreds of air strikes on southern Lebanese cities, as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions on September 23. According to Lebanese authorities, a total of 1374 people, including 104 children and 194 women, have died since the detonation of communication devices used by Hizbullah on September 17. Hizbullah leader Hasan Nasrallah was killed in Israeli air strikes on Beirut on September 27. Hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced within the country due to Israeli bombardment. While the migration wave from the southern regions of the country to the capital Beirut and to the north continues, tens of thousands of people are reported to have migrated to Syria. Meanwhile, Hizbullah continues to retaliate against Israel with rockets and missiles. Despite mostly targeting military bases on the Israeli side, no major damage has been reported in these attacks.
