The quotas for hemp cultivation for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients have been determined. According to the decision published in today’s Official Gazette, the total quota for hemp cultivation for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients has been set. In this context, the country’s total quota for hemp cultivation has been determined as 5 thousand square meters with 120 thousand plants annually. Universities, research institutes of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, organizations with research permits, scientific research, and R&D studies will not be subject to quota requirements. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will be responsible for the distribution of the quota.
