The holiday bonus that millions of retirees have been waiting for has been determined as 4,000 lira this year. Following a 33% increase, the relevant bill will be discussed in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) General Assembly and then, after being published in the Official Gazette, will come into effect. With less than 10 days to go until Ramadan Bayram, SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund pensioners are focusing on the payment dates. Holiday bonuses are paid according to the identification number, and will be deposited into accounts through the banks where pensions are received. According to the Social Security Institution (SGK) bonus payment calendar, bonuses will be deposited to retirees. So, when will the Retirement Holiday Bonus for 2025 be paid? Here is the latest information regarding the payments… Approximately 16 million eligible recipients will benefit from the retirement holiday bonus payments. Since this year’s Ramadan Bayram will start on March 30, those who are eligible for retirement in April will be able to benefit from the bonus. Retirement bonuses for 4A, 4B, and 4C pensioners are deposited in different days according to the identification numbers. Last year, during Ramadan Bayram, the bonus payments were completed in a total of 3 days. It was expected that the increase in the holiday bonuses for retirees would become official this week after being discussed in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Following the debates in the assembly, the bill containing the increase of the retirement bonus from 3,000 lira to 4,000 lira could not be discussed. For the retirement holiday bonuses to be paid, the relevant bill must first pass through the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Once the bill proposing that the retirement holiday bonus be 4,000 lira is approved, it will be published in the Official Gazette and come into effect. Approximately 16 million eligible recipients will benefit from the Ramadan Bayram retirement bonuses. Last year, as the holiday approached April, payments were completed in a total of 3 days. Retirement holiday bonus payments start with individuals under the 4 (a) SSK coverage and who receive monthly payments. Last year, the payments started with those with identification numbers 17 and 18, and lastly, were deposited to those with numbers 23, 24, 25, and 26. Once the Turkish Grand National Assembly’s work is completed, the bill will be published in the Official Gazette and come into effect. The retirement holiday bonus payment schedule will be created by the SGK. It is expected that holiday bonus payments will be completed by Friday, March 28. Retirement holiday bonuses are deposited twice a year before Ramadan and Eid al-Adha holidays. The Eid al-Adha holiday in 2025 will start on June 6. There will be no further increase in the retirement holiday bonus this year. Before June, retirees will receive a 4,000 lira holiday bonus.
