According to a recent poll conducted in the United States, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, who reached 49% support, is leading the race against her Republican opponent Donald Trump by 3 points. As the countdown continues for the presidential elections to be held on November 5th in the U.S., a joint poll by the New York Times (NYT) and Siena revealed that the race is still neck and neck. The news published by NYT stated that Democrat Harris received the support of 49% of the participants in the poll, while Republican Trump found support at 46%. The poll, conducted nationwide from September 29 to October 6, highlighted that Harris, for the first time when compared to previous polls, is ahead of Trump. The newspaper reminded that the latest NYT-Siena poll was conducted in mid-September, where both candidates were tied at 47%, emphasizing that Harris slowly overtaking Trump is gaining more traction among voters every day. The 60th presidential elections in the U.S. will take place on Tuesday, November 5th.
