Hamaney: Israel’s Attacks in Gaza are a Horrific Crime

2 Mins Read

Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei of Iran strongly criticized Israel’s attacks on Gaza, describing the assaults as a “huge and horrific crime” and called on the Islamic world to unite. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei of Iran referred to Israel’s breaking of the ceasefire and initiating attacks on Gaza as a “huge and horrific crime,” urging Islamic countries to act together to stop the attacks. In a video message released on the occasion of the New Year’s Day according to the Hijri Solar calendar, Nevruz Festival, Khamenei also assessed the latest developments in domestic and foreign policy. He explained that the slogan for this year is “Investment for Production,” noting that the previous year was a time when people faced economic difficulties and struggled to make ends meet. Khamenei emphasized the government’s responsibility to create the necessary groundwork for investing in the production sector, encouraging people to direct their small and large capital towards production, thus preventing capital from flowing into areas like foreign exchange and gold. Reflecting on the past year as a turbulent one, reminiscent of the 1980s when Iran was at war with Iraq, Khamenei pointed to Iranian military advisors in the region, the sudden death of former President Ebrahim Raisi, and other events in Tehran and Lebanon. Calling Israel’s violation of the ceasefire and attacks on Gaza a “huge and horrific crime,” Khamenei stated, “This issue is a matter for the Islamic Ummah, therefore, the entire Ummah must unite against these crimes by setting aside their differences.” He attributed the responsibility for these attacks to the US and highlighted a similar situation under US attacks in Yemen.
