Growth in the UK Economy Recorded in August

The UK economy showed a growth of 0.2 percent in August, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS). In July, the economy had a flat performance, but in August, it grew by 0.2 percent. During the period from June to August, the economy expanded by 0.2 percent compared to the previous three months. In August, the service sector grew by 0.1 percent, while the construction and industrial sectors grew by 0.4 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively. In July, the manufacturing sector had shrunk by 0.7 percent, and construction by 0.4 percent.
