Governor’s Residence Set on Fire in Pennsylvania

The home of Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania in the United States was set on fire. It was reported that a 38-year-old suspect with incendiary devices was taken into custody.

An investigation has been initiated into the incident of the burning of the home of Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro in the state of Pennsylvania in the United States.

The Pennsylvania State Police issued a written statement regarding the incident. The statement indicated that the Harrisburg Fire Department intervened in the fire at Governor Shapiro’s home around 2:00 in the morning, stating that “the investigation is ongoing, but the Pennsylvania State Police is ready to say that this was an arson.” It was stated in the statement that the fire has been completely extinguished but caused serious damage to the residence, and it was noted that the Governor and his family were inside the house during the fire but were evacuated without harm. The statement mentioned that an investigation has been initiated through coordination between different agencies, and a $10,000 reward will be given to those who contribute to identifying the perpetrator. Governor Shapiro also expressed his relief on social media that nobody was injured and that the fire was successfully extinguished. Shapiro conveyed his gratitude to the authorities on behalf of himself and his family.

SUSPECT TAKEN INTO CUSTODY Pennsylvania police official George Bivens announced that 38-year-old suspect Cody Balmer, who was found with “homemade” incendiary devices, has been taken into custody. Pennsylvania District Attorney Fran Chardo also stated that Balmer, who is suspected of setting Governor Shapiro’s home on fire, will be tried for crimes such as attempted murder, terrorism, and aggravated arson.
