Foreign investors have turned to buying stocks. Non-residents made approximately 111 million dollars worth of stock purchases and 622 million dollars worth of bond purchases last week. “Weekly Securities Statistics” was released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT). According to the data, non-residents purchased net 110.8 million dollars worth of stocks, 621.7 million dollars worth of Treasury Domestic Debt Securities (DİBS), and sold 3.2 million dollars worth of assets outside the General Government Sector (ÖST) in the week of November 1st. Non-residents’ stock holdings, which were 30 billion 186.8 million dollars as of October 25, increased to 30 billion 480.4 million dollars on November 1. During the same period, non-residents’ DİBS holdings increased from 15 billion 555 million dollars to 16 billion 184.8 million dollars, while ÖST holdings decreased from 386.9 million dollars to 383.8 million dollars.
