Bolat emphasized the importance of tradespeople having easier access to cost-effective and large-scale sources of finance. He mentioned that they expect 250 thousand tradespeople to benefit from loans this year, noting that the new credit limits apply to all Treasury-supported tradespeople loans.
COMMERCIAL VEHICLE LOANS
In addition to new vehicles, Bolat mentioned that vehicles aged 0-5 years are now included in commercial vehicle acquisition loans. He stated, “Our tradespeople and artisans will benefit from a wider range of vehicle choices with this loan, which is repayable up to 48 months, limited to 2.5 million Turkish Liras, and discounted by 50% interest for vehicle types such as cars, vans, trucks, minibusses, midibusses, buses, and similar commercial vehicles.” Bolat said that since this loan was put into practice in 2017 until February 28, 2025, 7,710 tradespeople have benefited, and the total financing amount reached 4.857 billion Turkish Liras.
BUSINESS PREMISES ACQUISITION LOANS
Minister Bolat indicated that business premises acquisition loans are provided exclusively for the purchase of premises for conducting commercial activities. He mentioned that tradespeople can benefit from this loan up to 2.5 million Turkish Liras with a 60-month term and a 50% interest reduction. Reminding that until the end of this year’s February, 5,995 tradespeople have benefited from this loan, Bolat reported that 3.345 billion Turkish Liras in financing has been provided accordingly. He stated that there has been a 33.3% increase in the business loan limit and a 66.6% increase in the investment loan limit, and emphasized that these steps will contribute to economic growth and employment.
