2 Mins Read

There has been a 20% increase in early reservations from abroad in Turkish tourism. Experts stated that this is an indicator of new records to be broken in tourism.

The early booking period continues to allow vacationers to enjoy holidays at their desired facility at a more affordable price during the summer months. Mehmet İşler, Deputy Chairman of the Turkey Hoteliers Federation, highlighted that despite Germany and Russia being the most important markets, Turkey has become a country that shares a part of tourism from all over the world. İşler noted that Turkey aims to raise its daily income per tourist to the band of 120-130 dollars. “There is currently a 15-20% increase in early bookings throughout Turkey compared to the same month last year. We anticipate that the continuity of this booking flow will increase even more. This is a delightful occurrence. In the Aegean Region, we see this rate in the range of 10s. This band is where we started in 2024.”

Starting off 2025 in the tourism sector, especially with the news of this increase from Germany, has made the sector extremely happy and excited. We already see that 2025 will be a record year, just like every year, for Turkish tourism.” EFFECT OF TURKEY’S SUCCESSFUL FOREIGN POLICY Indicating that tourists enjoy tranquility, İşler said, “One of the most important factors in breaking the record is the atmosphere of peace around our country at the moment, Turkey directing its foreign policy very competently, and most importantly, being a safe, peaceful, and tranquil country.” İşler expressed, “Turkish tourism is not just about sun, sea, and sand, it is also about writing epics in health tourism, plateau tourism, culture, and gastronomy. Our target for the year 2030 is 100 billion dollars in economic input and 100 million tourists. It seems like our country will achieve this target by 2028.”
