Approved organizations under medical device and in vitro diagnostic medical device regulations will now be able to enter into contracts with manufacturing companies in foreign currency or currency-indexed according to the “Communiqué on Amending the Communiqué on Amendment to the Decree No. 32 on the Protection of the Value of Turkish Currency” prepared by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and published in the Official Gazette. The regulation added a provision to the communiqué regarding contracts in foreign currency. As a result, service contracts entered into by approved organizations located in Turkey under the Medical Device Regulation and the In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device Regulation with manufacturing companies, as well as contracts entered into with individuals located in Turkey, may now be in foreign currency or currency-indexed.
