The Spectrum rocket, launched from the Andoya Space Center in the North Pole, crashed back to Earth with a powerful explosion seconds after liftoff.
According to The Guardian, this setback has struck a blow to the continent’s efforts to build a new space economy. Developed by the German startup Isar Aerospace, the Spectrum rocket toppled with a loud explosion in a live YouTube stream shortly after it was launched from Norway’s Andoya Space Center in the North Pole, crashing back to Earth.
