The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Uraloglu, announced the start of free internet service at 63 train stations and terminals.
Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, conveyed that the free internet service has commenced at train stations and terminals owned by the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD). He indicated that this service was initially implemented on high-speed train (YHT) lines in Ankara, stating that “Free Wi-Fi service has been provided at 63 different stations and terminals located in strategic points such as Istanbul, Eskişehir, Konya, Sivas, Malatya, Kars, Erzincan, Batman, Mardin, Diyarbakır, and Van.” Uraloğlu reported that an average of 2,576 users access the Wi-Fi service daily, with 124,713 citizens benefitting from it so far.
With this service, Uraloğlu mentioned that business people can continue their work while traveling, and passengers can use their waiting times efficiently.
Uraloğlu stated that the cyber security tests have been completed, with no security vulnerabilities detected in the institutional network.
