Earnings Disparities Across Different Professions Remain Unchanged, Money Seems to be “Up in the Air”

The most lucrative professions of the past five years have been revealed, highlighting clear discrepancies in salaries. While some fields have witnessed an increase in wages close to 90%, others have remained at 39%. Here are the highest and lowest paying professions as per the records of the Social Security Institution.

According to the data released, in July 2024, the average gross salary of 16,790,000 employees was $1,102 (₺36,188). The aviation sector once again topped the list of sectors with the highest salaries. On the other hand, education and textiles were among the sectors that fell below the average.
