Efforts against drug traffickers continue in Kars. A person of Iranian nationality who hid drugs in a cigarette pack was apprehended. In Kars, a suspect of Iranian nationality who concealed drugs in a cigarette pack was taken into custody. Activities to expose suspects engaged in “purchasing, accepting, using, possessing, manufacturing, or trading drugs or stimulants” and to protect youths from drug traffickers are ongoing by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command. Coordinated by the Prosecutor’s Office in Digor, gendarmerie teams stopped an Iranian-plated vehicle at the district entrance due to suspicion. A search of the Iranian national’s person revealed a quantity of hashish inside a cigarette pack. The gendarmerie teams detained the driver.
