Scientists have discovered 128 new satellites orbiting around Saturn. This recent discovery has officially increased the number of known satellites around Saturn to 274, surpassing Jupiter’s 79 satellites. Edward Ashton, an astronomer at Academia Sinica in Taiwan, said, “We knew these objects were likely satellites and thought that more could be discovered. Therefore, we observed the same sky regions for three months in 2023.”
