Economists from Deutsche Bank who visited Turkey recently also commented on the expected minimum wage increase.
Representatives from the German banking giant carried out visits in Turkey last week.
The bank shared their findings from these visits. Among investors, economists emphasized a strong acceptance of macro-financial stabilization in the Turkish economy, drawing attention with their views on both inflation and the minimum wage raise.
Officials were cautiously optimistic about the inflation outlook.
It was stated that the general expectation for the minimum wage is an increase of 25-30 percent.
HOW MUCH WILL THE MINIMUM WAGE BE?
In January 2024, the minimum wage increased by 49.11 percent to 17,002 liras. No interim raise was implemented this year, and the new minimum wage for 2025 will be determined taking into account the end-of-year inflation rate.
