1 Mins Read

Dozens of people in Israel staged a demonstration in Tel Aviv demanding a prisoner exchange agreement with Palestinian groups in Gaza. According to Israel’s Channel 12 Television, the protesters, including families of Israeli prisoners in Gaza, lit fires and blocked traffic on Ayalon Street in downtown Tel Aviv. They carried signs with the names of the prisoners they are urging the government to make a deal for their release. Demonstrations in Israel calling for a prisoner exchange agreement have been ongoing for a long time, but lost momentum after escalating tensions with Hezbollah in the north.
