In the Eurozone, confidence in the economy decreased in September. The Economic Sentiment Index dropped by 0.3 points to 96.2. The European Union (EU) Commission published the results of the September Business and Consumer Survey. According to the data, the Economic Sentiment Index in the EU remained stable at 96.7 in September. In the Eurozone, however, the Economic Sentiment Index declined by 0.3 points to 96.2 compared to the previous month. During this period, the Economic Sentiment Index decreased by 1.2 points in Germany and 1.4 points in France, the largest economies in the EU. Meanwhile, the Consumer Confidence Index in the Eurozone was determined to be -12.9 in September.
