The Mint has updated the assembly fee set for the Vehicle Identification Unit for the year 2025. According to the decision, the fee, which was 2,791.45 TL, has been reduced to 2,172 TL. Those who paid a high price will receive a refund of 619.45 TL.
The assembly fees in the National Vehicle Identification System (NVIS), developed to register fuel purchases of vehicles in Turkey and prevent tax evasion, have been updated. ASSEMBLY FEE CHANGED The chips, called Vehicle Identification Unit (VIU), which form the basis of the system, had been announced as 2,791.45 TL including VAT for the year 2025. According to the statement from the Mint, between March 25, 2025, and April 30, 2025, the total assembly service fee including VAT will be applied as 2,172 TL. REFUND WILL BE MADE According to the regulation dated March 24, 2025, those who paid for VIU assembly for the year 2025 under the NVIS will receive a refund payment of 619.45 TL per vehicle. In addition, those who did not have the assembly done but paid the 2025 fee will also be able to receive the same amount as a refund. Vehicle owners applying to the NVIS for the first time between the specified dates will also pay 2,172 TL. Refunds will be made via bank transfer.
