According to American CNN television, Israel has not provided assurance to the Biden administration about its potential response to Iran. An American official mentioned, “We hope to see some wisdom alongside the power from Israel, but as you know, there is no guarantee of that.”
Discussions continue regarding Israel’s response to Iran following the missile attacks.
CNN reported an allegation about whether nuclear facilities would be targeted in a potential attack.
According to a senior official from the U.S. Department of State, Israel did not assure the Biden administration that they would not attack Iran’s nuclear facilities. The American official gave a response to the question asked about this: “We hope and expect to see some wisdom alongside the power from Israel, but as you know, there is no guarantee of that.” Former U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton criticized Biden’s statement in an interview with CNN, saying, “If in their (Israel’s) place, I would consider alternative options from oil fields.” Bolton emphasized that Iran is the “enemy of the U.S.” and Israel is a “ally,” and expressed that it was a significant mistake for the President to discuss Israel’s options. He further stated, “Israel should eliminate Iran’s nuclear weapons program, and the U.S. should assist Israel. It’s time to do this.”
“IRAN IS NOT WORRIED”
Iran’s Petroleum Minister Muhsin Paknejad visited the energy capital of Iran, Assaluyeh, today.
According to the Ministry’s Shana news site, Paknejad stated that he is “not worried” about the escalating conflicts in the region amidst reports of Israel attacking Iran. In the context of Iran’s missile attack on Israel, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps launched a missile attack on Israel targeting the “national security” of Iran on October 1st. The attack was reported to be in response to Israeli attacks that killed Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah, and Iranian Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan.
Iranian state television announced that about 200 missiles were launched at Israel, and hypersonic Fattah-1 missiles were used for the first time. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Iran had made a “big mistake” following the attack, commenting that “Iran will pay the price.”
The Israeli War Cabinet also decided to provide a “harsh response” to Iran.
